Angular Left Panel Redesign

I need the left-hand panel of my Angular application restructured so it focuses on user information, specifically their recent activity. The current layout is a placeholder, so your task is to build a clean, responsive component that pulls the activity data I already expose through an API and renders it in a concise grid view. Key expectations: • The grid should adapt gracefully to different screen heights, showing a sensible number of items and adding smooth scrolling when necessary. • Data arrives as an array of activity objects (id, title, date, thumbnail). Please bind it with Angular’s reactive patterns and keep change detection efficient. • Styling should blend with the existing SCSS theme; feel free to use Angular Material cards if it speeds things up, but keep dependencies minimal. • Code must be modular (separate component, HTML, SCSS, and a small service if you need one) and covered by brief inline comments so my team can extend it later—perhaps to add navigation or notifications down the line. Deliverable is a pull-request-ready folder with component code, updated module imports, and a quick README describing any setup steps. Once merged, the panel should display the user’s recent activity in a neat grid exactly as described, with no regressions elsewhere in the UI.
