The goal is to wire every layer of a new pair of smart glasses—from the on-board sensors right through to an Android companion app—so that the device behaves like a polished, consumer-ready product. Hardware & low-level work • Pair, stream and reconnect reliably over Bluetooth Low Energy while also supporting high-bandwidth features across Wi-Fi sockets. • Drive the critical modules selected for this build: the camera, IMU sensors, plus the speakers and microphones. • Optimise power draw, heat and battery life; handle sleep / wake cycles intelligently. Middleware • Integrate the OEM SDK, which exposes Android libraries first, and bridge any native C/C++ portions that sit beneath those Kotlin/Java calls. • Build or adapt media pipelines for real-time audio/video capture, encoding and playback. Mobile application • Deliver an Android app that discovers the glasses, pairs in a single step, shows live video previews, captures sensor telemetry and plays audio. • Expose in-app triggers for OTA firmware updates and diagnostic logs. Acceptance criteria 1. Glasses pair automatically after first connection and recover within five seconds of a lost link. 2. 720p video and 16-bit audio stream to the app with <150 ms latency on the same Wi-Fi network. 3. IMU data published at 100 Hz with <5 ms jitter. 4. Battery drains <8 % per hour during continuous streaming at 25 °C ambient. 5. OTA update completes safely with checksum verification and rollback support. I will supply the existing board schematic, preliminary SDK, and a reference Android sample. What I need back is the integrated firmware patch set, the Android app source (Kotlin/Java with any JNI hooks), and a short write-up of the testing results that prove the five acceptance points above.

╰┈➤ NATIVE ANDROID + EMBEDDED DEVELOPER | SMART GLASSES INTEGRATION Hi there, I can help connect the complete smart-glasses stack from BLE/device communication and sensors to the Android companion app, media streaming and OTA updates. I have 8+ years of experience across Android, Kotlin/Java, Bluetooth, real-time communication and hardware-connected applications. I’ll work directly with your board schematic, OEM SDK and reference Android project, first mapping the hardware/SDK interfaces and then integrating each layer with measurable testing against your five acceptance criteria. ✍ A couple of things I’d need to confirm: • Which chipset/SoC and RTOS/firmware environment are used on the glasses? • Does the OEM SDK already expose the camera/audio/IMU streaming APIs, or do some modules require direct driver-level work? I can provide the firmware patch set, complete Android source including JNI components, and a concise test report with measured results for each acceptance point. Happy to review the SDK and reference project first and provide a clear implementation plan. Thank you.

Hi, I'm Denis, a full-stack developer with experience building firmware and mobile integrations for hardware devices, including embedded systems that communicate with Android apps while managing real-time sensor data and power constraints. I understand your project: the glasses firmware needs robust Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity, camera and IMU drivers, and audio hardware integration. The Android app must handle seamless device discovery, low-latency video/audio streaming, and firmware updates. I've bridged native C/C++ SDKs with Kotlin/Java layers, built real-time media pipelines, and handled Bluetooth reconnection logic. My approach: keep low-level work clean, minimize latency in streaming, and ensure a responsive mobile experience. I'd start by reviewing your board schematic and SDK, then build in phases. First, establish reliable Bluetooth pairing and Wi-Fi with auto-reconnection. Next, integrate camera and IMU drivers, implement video encoding, and optimize power through intelligent sleep cycles. On Android, I'd build discovery/pairing, live preview with sensor telemetry, and OTA updates with checksum verification. Latency is critical—video streaming needs careful buffer management to stay under 150 ms using hardware-accelerated encoding. IMU data at 100 Hz requires consistent sampling and reliable transport. Key concerns: OTA rollback needs safe state management with dual-partition verification, and power optimization requires early profiling to identify high-d

Hello, I can build the firmware and Android app integration for your smart glasses, focusing on reliable Bluetooth/Wi-Fi streaming and low-latency sensor data while optimizing power and battery life. I’ve worked with a similar IoT device that required BLE and Wi-Fi streaming—used a hybrid connection manager to switch seamlessly between protocols, which cut reconnection delays by 60%. The Android app I built for it handled real-time telemetry with <100ms latency. I’d approach this by using a modular firmware architecture with clear state machines for power management and a Kotlin-native media pipeline for video/audio. The biggest improvement will come from optimizing the BLE/Wi-Fi handshake and sensor polling rates. Proper integration will ensure smooth streaming and sensor data while minimizing battery drain, making the device feel polished to end users. After delivery, I’ll provide a short report with benchmarks for latency, battery life, and reconnection speeds to confirm the acceptance criteria. If this aligns with your needs, I’d be happy to discuss the project further. Thanks, Lazar.

Hi, Bojan here, from Serbia. Integrating your smart glasses firmware and app comes down to one thing: a device that behaves the same in the field as on the bench. I'm a senior embedded and electronics engineer with 8+ years of experience working with Firmware Development, Android, Java and C++ Programming. With Bluetooth, the real challenge is timing, power and real conditions. A common issue: testing only on the bench, so problems appear once the device runs in real conditions. My plan: first, review the schematic, pin map and timing requirements. Then, write the firmware in small modules, each tested on the board. Finally, test on the real hardware under load, power loss and bad signal. I've done firmware work in C++ Programming and Android, so I check early for timing issues and power drops. A few questions to better understand the scope: 1. Should firmware update over the air? That needs a safe bootloader and a fallback image, planned from the start. 2. Log raw readings during testing? I'd recommend it, you compare against a reference instead of guessing. 3. Will units run unattended for long periods? Then I add self-checks and logs that explain any failure afterwards. I can start right away. Happy to go over the details here in chat and suggest the best approach. Looking forward to hearing from you, Bojan

You need the smart glasses wired end to end — BLE pairing and Wi-Fi streaming through to an Android companion app — so the device feels consumer-ready. I'd integrate the OEM SDK's Android libraries and bridge the native C/C++ beneath them with JNI, then build BLE reconnect logic, Wi-Fi socket streaming, and the camera, IMU and audio pipelines. On the app side, a Kotlin app handles one-step pairing, live 720p preview, 100 Hz IMU telemetry, audio playback, OTA triggers and diagnostic logs. I'll validate all five acceptance points — reconnect under 5 s, <150 ms latency, <5 ms IMU jitter, <8 %/hour drain, checksummed rollback OTA — and deliver the firmware patch set, app source with JNI hooks, and a testing write-up. Delivery in 7 days, amount 2500 INR per hour. Does the preliminary SDK include native C/C++ sources, or only the Android libraries?
