An existing KiCad-based board is ready for its next revision. The design itself is stable; all I need now is to introduce 1–2 new connectors and make sure they are fully integrated into both the schematic and the PCB layout without disturbing the current footprint, board outline, or signal integrity. You will open the current KiCad project (v6 files) I supply, drop in the specified connectors exactly where the mechanical envelope allows, route the required nets cleanly, and run the usual DRC/ERC checks so the file set remains error-free. Board dimensions, mounting holes, and all other components stay exactly as they are. Deliverables: • Updated schematic and PCB layout files (.kicad_sch, .kicad_pcb) • Fresh Gerbers, drill files, and pick-and-place output ready for fabrication • Updated BOM reflecting the new connectors I will verify the work by importing the files into my own KiCad environment and running a final DRC; acceptance is complete once no errors appear and the connectors align with the mechanical drawing I provide. The job is straightforward and should be quick for someone comfortable with KiCad routing conventions.

Hi, I am a senior PCB design engineer with 6+ years of experience delivering production-ready boards from schematic through fabrication files. I work in Altium Designer and KiCad, and I handle the full workflow: component placement, routing, DRC, stack-up planning, and manufacturing outputs including Gerbers, drill files, pick-and-place data, and synced BOM. My focus is DFM-clean layouts that pass fab checks on the first spin. I have delivered multilayer boards across high-speed digital, mixed-signal, RF, power electronics, and compact consumer products. I communicate clearly, stay responsive, and provide short design notes so your team can move forward without guesswork. Happy to review your requirements and confirm scope, milestones, and timeline before we start. Best regards, AWS.

Hi I am an embedded systems engineer with over 16 years of experience in PCB design and product hardware revisions, including KiCad schematic and layout work for boards that are already stable and only need careful updates. This sounds like a focused revision: add the 1-2 specified connectors, preserve the existing board outline, mounting holes, component positions and signal integrity, update the schematic nets, route cleanly in the PCB, then regenerate the fabrication outputs. I will keep the change tightly scoped so the current design is not disturbed, and will run ERC/DRC before delivering the updated KiCad v6 files, Gerbers, drill files, pick-and-place output, and BOM. A couple of details would help before starting: do you already have the exact connector MPNs/footprints, and is the mechanical drawing in DXF/PDF with connector placement constraints marked? If footprints need to be checked or adjusted, I can handle that carefully as well. Please contact me to discuss details.

Hi, I can update your existing KiCad v6 PCB by adding the required 1–2 connectors into both the schematic and PCB layout while keeping the board outline, mounting holes, and existing placement unchanged. The best solution is to first review your current KiCad project, connector specifications, mechanical drawing, required nets, and placement limits. Then I’ll add the connectors to the schematic, assign correct footprints, place them within the allowed envelope, route the required signals cleanly, and run ERC/DRC checks before generating fresh fabrication files. I’m comfortable with KiCad schematic editing, PCB layout updates, connector integration, footprint verification, signal routing, ERC/DRC cleanup, Gerber generation, drill files, pick-and-place output, and BOM updates. Deliverables will include: * Updated `.kicad_sch` file * Updated `.kicad_pcb` file * 1–2 new connectors added * Clean routing of required nets * ERC/DRC checks * Fresh Gerber files * Drill files * Pick-and-place output * Updated BOM I’ll focus on making the connector update clean, mechanically aligned, and fabrication-ready without disturbing the stable parts of your existing board. 1) Updated KiCad v6 schematic and PCB (.kicad_sch, .kicad_pcb) integrating 1–2 new connectors without changing board outline, mounting holes, existing footprints, or net intent. 2) Clean routing for the required signals with constraint-aware placement, then full ERC/DRC verification to keep the project error-free. 3) Fabrication outputs: refreshed Gerbers, drill files, and pick-and-place, plus an updated BOM reflecting the added connectors. I will open your supplied KiCad project, place the connectors exactly within the mechanical envelope you specify, attach them to the correct schematic symbols/pins, and route the nets to match your signal integrity expectations. Mechanical drawings will be used to confirm alignment, and all changes will be limited strictly to the connector integration so current footprints and dimensions remain untouched. Submit the connector part numbers, placement constraints/mechanical drawing, and any netlist mapping.
