Worth knowing first: Coinbase taker fees can eat most of the profit from MACD or RSI signals on short timeframes. So I'd use limit orders where possible and add a paper trading mode, so you see results before real money moves. IF YOU ARE NOT HAPPY YOU DON'T PAY! Most MACD/RSI bots on Coinbase lose money not on the strategy but on the candle: if signals are recomputed on the still-forming candle they repaint, so the bot flips in and out and fires duplicate orders. The other usual culprit is state — after a restart it forgets it's already in a position. I'd build it against Coinbase Advanced Trade, compute MACD and RSI only on closed candles, and keep position state persisted so restarts and rate-limit errors don't double-fill. Backtest on historical candles first, then run it on a small live size before scaling. Which product and timeframe are you trading, and do you want it long-only spot or both directions?
