hello, as part of our development process, we are experimenting with pcb design by Ai in kicad (mainly kimi k3 and konnect mcp). We can test ideas quickly but then design are less than optimal (to say the least) So, we would like to hire a person that is willing to review and fix the project to make it really fabrication ready. We would like to hire by the hour as we cannot know upfront what the effort is going to be for any given pcb, sometimes the project is not bad, sometimes it's terrible. So, if you are not familiar with freelancer. Com desktop app to track the hours, Pleaee do not bid. This is an ongoing project as we have several projects like this. Pleaee mention your experience and portfolio should back it up.

✅✅✅✅✅ This is exactly the kind of PCB work where an experienced layout engineer adds value: taking an automatically generated or rough KiCad design and turning it into something electrically sound, manufacturable, and reliable. I can review and directly fix the project rather than simply provide a list of issues. I’ll check the schematic/layout together for component placement, power distribution, grounding and return paths, signal integrity, thermal considerations, footprints, clearances, antenna/RF constraints where applicable, ERC/DRC and overall DFM. I have experience working with KiCad on mixed-signal, ESP32, power electronics, sensor and industrial PCB designs, including production-oriented BOMs and manufacturing outputs. I’m comfortable working from an existing design regardless of whether it needs minor cleanup or substantial rework. I’m also comfortable with hourly work and Freelancer Desktop time tracking, and I’m interested in an ongoing relationship as you bring additional AI-generated projects for review. For each board I can provide: Detailed design review Direct schematic/PCB corrections ERC/DRC and DFM verification Manufacturing-ready files Clear notes on important changes and remaining risks Send me the first KiCad project and I can assess its condition and start with the highest-priority issues.

From my experience reviewing KiCad designs for fabrication, I start with layout cleanliness, clear silk and copper annotations, and up-to-date BOMs. I’ll verify ERC/DRC, ground/power routing, and test pads to support reliable manufacturing. I’ll deliver a scoped review with actionable fixes, a short summary document, and Gerber-ready outputs. If desired, I can implement the fixes and provide a follow-up check to ensure manufacturability for KiCad K3 and Konnect MCP boards. To tailor the approach, I have a concise question to align scope: Could you share your top fabrication constraints for KiCad outputs (trace width, spacing, drill tolerances, and preferred manufacturers) and any design-for-manufacturing notes you want prioritized in this review? ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Hi, This is exactly the kind of workflow where an experienced PCB engineer can add value: taking an AI-generated KiCad project and applying real engineering judgment to make it reliable, manufacturable, and fabrication-ready. I can review each project at both schematic and PCB level rather than simply running DRC and fixing the obvious errors. I’ll check connectivity, component/footprint correctness, placement, power and ground strategy, routing, return paths, clearances, thermal considerations, and any layout decisions that could cause noise, assembly, or manufacturing problems. My typical review includes: • Schematic/ERC and net connectivity review • Footprint, component and pin-mapping verification • Placement and routing optimization • Power/ground and sensitive-signal review • DRC and manufacturer-specific DFM checks • Gerber/production-output verification • Cleanup of the KiCad project so it remains properly editable I’m comfortable working hourly through Freelancer.com’s desktop time-tracking system, and I actually prefer this model for projects where the quality of the starting design can vary significantly. Since you have several boards planned, I’d be interested in an ongoing collaboration rather than treating this as a one-off job. I can provide my PCB portfolio showing relevant layout work. Send over one representative KiCad project and I can first assess its current condition and explain what I would correct.

Hi, I have experience reviewing and correcting KiCad mixed-signal designs with MCU, power, USB, Ethernet/CAN, analog sensing, and RF interfaces, including systems with 10+ protected I/O channels and multi-board architectures exceeding 10 PCBs. I am comfortable working hourly with the Freelancer.com Desktop App and can take partially correct or heavily flawed AI-generated projects through engineering review, cleanup, and fabrication release. Approach ✅ I will audit the schematic, symbols, footprints, net classes, ERC/DRC results, stackup, placement, routing, grounding, clearances, and manufacturer constraints. ✅ I will fix electrical/layout issues including return paths, decoupling, switching loops, impedance-sensitive routing, thermal design, copper geometry, via strategy, and connector/mechanical conflicts. ✅ I will complete a final DFM review and generate fabrication-ready Gerbers, drills, CPL, BOM, and documented corrections directly in KiCad. Questions ✅ Which KiCad version and target PCB manufacturer/assembly service do you normally use? ✅ Do you want each project reviewed against a defined internal checklist, with critical findings documented before I modify the source files? Best, Yaroslav

Okay, I got what you want exactly. I am a Full Stack Engineer PCB Designer with 10 years of experience, providing KiCad PCB review, schematic validation, component placement, multilayer routing, DRC/DFM optimization, and fabrication-ready manufacturing files. In my opinion, AI-generated PCB layouts are a great starting point, but they need experienced engineering review before production. I would systematically check connectivity, footprints, power and ground paths, signal integrity, clearances, thermal design, manufacturability, and mechanical constraints, then fix anything that could cause issues during fabrication or assembly. This project is very similar to my previous works. I regularly review and optimize existing KiCad designs, including layouts that require substantial cleanup and redesign before manufacturing. I have worked on compact embedded, power, sensor, RF, and mixed-signal boards and can adapt quickly to different project conditions. So, I will divide your project into three major steps. 1️⃣ Review the schematic, footprints, placement, routing, stackup, and design rules. 2️⃣ Fix and optimize the PCB for reliability, signal integrity, thermal performance, and manufacturability. 3️⃣ Run DRC/DFM validation and prepare the final fabrication and assembly files. Via private chatting or meeting, I will provide the creative idea and good tech solution for your project. Best regards. Maksym

Hi, I do PCB design/review professionally (up to 24-layer stackups, high speed layout, EMI/EMC, DFM/DFT) and have hands on experience turning rough or AI generated KiCad projects into clean, fabrication ready boards - checking footprints, clearances, stackup, routing integrity, and signal/power integrity before Gerber release. I'm fully comfortable with the Freelancer.com desktop app for hourly time tracking, and I'm set up for ongoing/recurring engagements, not one off jobs - which fits well since your AI drafted projects will vary a lot in how much rework each needs. Recent relevant work: a 4 layer automotive dual motor controller board (STM32G0 + TLE9562, CAN FD/LIN) and a Pico 2 W RS-232/RS-485 interface board - both involved reviewing/correcting an existing design toward ERC/DRC clean, DFM ready output. Portfolio and more examples (high speed multilayer boards, mixed analog/digital designs) available on request. Happy to start with one board on an hourly trial so you can judge turnaround and quality before committing to the ongoing pipeline.

Hi, Read your post. This is interesting work. I've cleaned up several AI-generated KiCad projects before and know where they usually fail: missing netclasses, bad ground pours, wrong footprints, no proper stackup, traces that pass DRC but won't fabricate cleanly. I'm fine with hourly. I'm familiar with the Freelancer desktop app time tracker and can run it while working. What I'd do per project: - Open your KiCad project, run DRC and ERC first to see what we're dealing with. - Check footprints against your BOM and supplier availability. - Fix netclasses, impedance, clearance, ground plane splits. - Review power routing, decoupling placement, thermal relief. - Clean up silkscreen and assembly layer for fab. - Re-run DRC/DFM against JLCPCB or PCBWay rules. - Hand back a fab-ready package: Gerbers, drill, CPL, BOM check, notes on what I changed. I use KiCad 7 and 8 daily. Also Altium if needed. Portfolio: I've done multi-layer mixed-signal boards, STM32 controllers, RF sections, and power boards. I can send renders and a few redacted project samples on request. One question: are these boards for personal use or commercial product? That affects how strict I am on creepage and safety. Ready to start whenever you send the first project. I'll bill honest hours, no padding. Regards, ShengLin Gu.
