Senior AI/LLM Engineer – AI Code Generation & Orchestration Role Overview We are looking for a senior-level engineer to design, build, and lead systems that generate, execute, validate, and iterate on code using AI. This role goes far beyond prompt engineering—you will own the full lifecycle of AI-driven code execution, including orchestration, sandboxed runtimes, failure handling, and developer enablement. You will play a key role in shaping an AI-powered coding platform used in real production or internal environments, and you’ll guide other engineers in building reliable, safe, and deterministic AI systems. Key Responsibilities AI Code Generation & Execution Design and implement systems that automatically generate, write, build, run, and preview code Manage file creation, dependency installation, build steps, and execution workflows Debug and improve AI-generated code based on runtime failures, logs, and execution results Operate AI systems in real production or internal environments—not just demos or prototypes Orchestration & Execution Control Build explicit, deterministic execution pipelines for AI workflows Enforce correct sequencing (e.g., ensuring required files exist before install or build steps) Implement validation and gating logic to prevent invalid or unsafe execution Design systems that do not rely on “LLM correctness” alone Failure Handling & Safety Prevent infinite retry or fix loops using: Retry limits Error classification State tracking Human-in-the-loop or fallback mechanisms Design clear failure states and recovery paths for AI-driven workflows Log, monitor, and analyze failure patterns to improve system reliability Sandboxed & Isolated Execution Design and operate sandboxed execution environments for untrusted or AI-generated code Diagnose issues caused by: Environment differences Missing system APIs or globals Build-time vs runtime mismatches Ensure consistency between local, CI, and sandboxed environments LLM Orchestration (Not Just Usage) Architect multi-step LLM workflows with: Validation layers Control logic Deterministic constraints Clearly separate raw LLM calls from orchestration, decision-making, and execution layers Build systems where AI is one component—not the system itself Leadership & Developer Guidance Guide and mentor engineers building AI-driven coding systems for the first time Define architecture patterns, guardrails, and best practices Lead design reviews and technical discussions around AI reliability and safety Create documentation and teaching materials focused on failure handling and system design Enable teams to succeed rather than coding everything yourself What We’re Looking For Required Experience Proven experience building systems that generate and execute code automatically Strong understanding of orchestration, execution order, and system state management Experience handling failures in distributed or automated systems Comfort working with sandboxed or constrained execution environments Ability to reason about determinism, validation, and safety in AI systems Strong Signals You talk about execution, logs, failures, and fixes—not just prompts You design guardrails instead of hoping the AI “gets it right” You think in workflows, states, and constraints You enjoy teaching others how to build reliable systems Red Flags (What This Role Is Not) Prompt-only or demo-focused AI work UI-only experimentation without runtime ownership Blind retries instead of validation Treating LLM calls and orchestration as the same thing Why This Role Matters AI systems that write code are only valuable if they run correctly, fail safely, and improve over time.
