The Templin Institute is a YouTube channel covering the history and lore behind fictional nations, people, and places with an overarching meta-narrative about a mysterious interdimensional research facility. As we increase the number of videos we’re producing each month, we’re looking for an editor to help produce our regular content.

Since our method of storytelling is unique and specific, we need someone who can closely match our video style. We’ll walk you through how we select footage for our videos and what our storytelling priorities are during your training period, but after that you’ll be expected to work independently and with minimal oversight.
Proficiency with the Adobe Suite (Premier Pro, After Effects, Photoshop) is required. Work will consist of finding, sorting, and assembling footage and images from existing science fiction/fantasy works to fit with provided narration and music. Turnaround time will be roughly a week for each episode and we'd expect a fully deliverable episode after a round or two of notes. We anticipate needing 2-4 episodes a month.
We’re looking for someone with a well rounded knowledge and love of science fiction and fantasy properties, movies, books, video games, etc. The nerdier, the better! Having knowledge about some of the more popular properties and maybe some more obscure stuff will only help in this position. If you’re passionate about storytelling, worldbuilding, and gaming, enjoy working with a small team, and are interested in building a career in online entertainment, this is the project for you!
