I have been helping small business owners (including online retailers that use PayPal extensively) save on taxes. As you are aware, amounts reported on any 1099 form are gross income (no expenses are deducted - not even fees you paid to PayPal). Businesses, regardless of how they are organized, can write off most business expenses. In order to do so, you have to categorize your expenses (i.e., advertising, PayPal fees, etc.) I will provide you with a sheet to help you identify deductible expenses for this year.
