If you are gonna be providing your business rules and requirements then that is not a problem. Assuming knowledge of accounting might make the project very vague. You need to provide more details of how the process of your business is. I propose MySQL as a database engine for the following reasons: 1- It can easily be integrated with any system, 2- it supports NoSQL and data science capabilities if you ever wanna create useful statistics and data science related decision making capabilities.
