Where Peter Singer discusses the ethics of poverty and affluence, animal rights, and the radical nature of applied ethics.
The second essay (1 Page long) is about:
In contemporary philosophy of mind there are four basic theoretical positions in regards to the mind-body problem. They are (1) dualism, (2) reductionism (see "type-identity" theory in your text), (3) functionalism and (4) eliminativism. From your perspective, which position seems to offer the best solution to the mind-body problem and why? IMPORTANT NOTE: make sure that in your answer you discuss not only the aspects of the position you select, but the aspects of the other 3 positions and why you don't find them as compelling.
I need these essays for Thursday 26 in the morning.
