I need to have a WordPress website customized with plug-ins and/or custom code. The basic template has been chosen, but now we need functionality added to it to set it up like a magazine website where authors can apply to write for the “magazine” and then have access to their own areas to write articles .
First, we need a form created that will collect the following information:
Requested User Name
Area of Expertise
Attach samples of writing
This information should submit to an administrative database that will allow the admin of the website to approve and manage authors. We will need an author administration page where all the admin should have to do is to "approve" an author and click a button that "creates" a new author section on the website with the new user name and password. Each author should have their own sub-folder on the website, for example: [url removed, login to view]
Once approved, the author will then have access to that section of the website where he can create his profile page and then start writing articles. Once an author has written an article, he should have a “submit for review” button on his page that sends a note to website admin allowing them to approve or deny the article from the admin’s author management page.
I do NOT want anyone other than admin to have access to the main website or WordPress administrative area or website template editing.
Programmer must be a fluent or native English speaker.
