A script is provided below. Need only main points of the script on the slide. But with more animation and more settings.
Day 304. Simple rule of the day (for better sleep): Sleep with earplugs and eye sleeping mask.
Brazil 2013. Late at night.
“How can people sleep in a dorm?” My first backpacking trip in the world and my first experience in a hostel. Next to me, there was a guy snoring…heavily. I have always thought I have a deep sleep, but that day I realized I do not. The noise started entering inside my head. Eventually, I got up and went to sleep outside on the border of the pool. “There is light, but at least no noise!”
That day was the first time I thought seriously about sleeping with earplugs. I have also seen many people using earplugs on the flight. However, I have always been afraid to wear them. What if there is a threat and I need to wake up? Well, apart from mosquitos and cars on the street, I never wake up for other noises at night, so I am not sure from where this fear of threats came!
Seoul 2017. Early in the morning.
“Zzzzuuu…zzuuuu”. [well I am not sure how to write the sound of a drill]. The noise entered in my mind…again. Also, I went to bed quite late, so this was around only on my 4th or 5th hour of sleep. “I cannot wake up so early…but I also cannot stay in bed.” There are renovating one of the apartments in my building. Luckily I found earplugs at my house. They did not eliminate all the noise, but they were good.
I have decided to use earplugs and eye sleeping mask more often. People say that small noise and quantity of light can still affect your sleep, even if you do not wake up. Wearing earplugs and sleeping mask can be slightly uncomfortable, but if the result is better sleep, it may be worth!
