Hello, I am looking for a serious mechanical design engineer / CAD freelancer to take an existing premium dog collar locking mechanism concept and turn it into a fully validated, production-ready design. I already have: * STL files * CAD files * Exploded views * Animations * Videos showing the concept and mechanism The design already exists, but I need an experienced engineer who can independently review everything from scratch and verify that it will actually work in real life. I specifically need a full engineering review of every critical part of the mechanism, including: * The push button. * The main locking pin. * The yellow sliding/locking component. * The safety lock functionality. * The interaction between all moving parts. * Spring selection and spring forces. * Travel limits and mechanical stops. * Locking and unlocking sequence. * Friction, wear, and long-term reliability. * Possible jamming scenarios. * Accidental release prevention. * Assembly method and manufacturability. What I need: * Analyze the complete mechanism and explain it clearly. * Verify that the locking sequence works correctly. * Verify that the unlocking sequence works correctly. * Verify that the yellow component behaves correctly in all states. * Verify that the push button cannot accidentally bypass or skip states. * Verify that all dimensions and tolerances are correct. * Correct any engineering issues. * Improve the design if necessary while keeping it compact, lightweight, and premium. * Make it look like a high-end product, not a simple plastic box. * Keep the overall dimensions as small as possible. * Optimize it for real manufacturing. Most importantly: I do not want only CAD work. I need someone who can physically prove that the mechanism works. This means: * Preparing a prototype-ready design. * Reviewing and optimizing all dimensions. * Selecting the correct springs and components. * 3D printing the parts. * Assembling the mechanism. * Testing it physically. * Recording videos showing the complete assembly and testing process. * Demonstrating repeated lock/unlock cycles. * Demonstrating that the mechanism does not jam. * Demonstrating that the safety lock functions correctly. * Explaining how every moving component behaves during operation. My goal is to receive a complete, tested, validated, and production-ready mechanism with evidence that it actually works in the real world, not only inside CAD software. My budget is limited, so I am looking for someone practical, honest, experienced, and confident enough to test and prove the design before final delivery. Please tell me: 1. Your experience with mechanical locking mechanisms. 2. Whether you can 3D print, assemble, and physically test the design. 3. Whether you can provide video proof of testing. 4. What files you need from me. 5. Your estimated cost and timeline. Thank you.

Drawing from my extensive experience as a mechanical design engineer, I can ensure a thorough analysis and efficient improvement of your premium dog collar locking mechanism. Having worked on various projects involving intricate mechanisms, I can confidently review your concept, identify possible failure points, optimize tolerances, and suggest manufacturing-friendly improvements. I prioritize functionality and reliability while keeping the mechanism compact and lightweight. What sets me apart is my ability to physically validate designs rather than simply relying on CAD files. In addition to creating fully print-ready 3D models optimized for various manufacturing technologies, I can also prototype and test the design using different materials such as PLA, PETG, ABS, TPU, Nylon, and Resin. My testing methods include ensuring that the push-button mechanism works seamlessly, the safety lock functions as intended, and the overall device works repeatedly without jamming. For this project I would require STL files, CAD files, exploded views (provided), animations (provided) and videos showing the current concept (provided). My estimated cost reflects not only the quality of work but my commitment to cost-effective solutions too. As a time-bound freelancer with a keen eye for minute details, I can assure accuracy and precision in delivering updated CAD files if necessary.

Hello, Your project requires much more than CAD modeling—it requires true engineering validation, prototyping, and real-world testing. That is exactly the approach I take. I can review your complete locking mechanism from first principles, including the push button, locking pin, sliding safety component, spring selection, travel limits, wear points, assembly sequence, manufacturability, and long-term reliability. I will verify both locking and unlocking states, identify potential failure or jamming scenarios, and recommend design improvements while maintaining a compact, premium appearance. I am experienced with mechanical assemblies, tolerance analysis, production-ready CAD, and design-for-manufacturing practices. I can review your existing STL/CAD files, exploded views, animations, and videos to fully understand the mechanism before making recommendations. For a complete evaluation, I would need access to all source CAD files, STL files, drawings, and any design requirements or target manufacturing processes. Please share the available files and I can provide an accurate timeline, scope, and cost estimate after reviewing the mechanism. I look forward to discussing the project.
