I have a Bigtreetech Octopus Pro running a custom concrete 3D printer and I need Marlin up and running cleanly on it. The board is installed and powering up; the gap is the firmware. Your task is to build and supply a working Marlin setup, covering: • Complete, compile-ready Configuration.h and Configuration_adv.h adjusted to the Octopus Pro pinout and my printer’s mechanics • Correct driver mapping for TB6600 in UART mode (including any required jumpers settings) • Pin definitions and logic for a new limit switch on the X-axis endstop • Guidance (or script) to compile with PlatformIO and flash via USB so I can reproduce the process later The printer’s motion system and extrusion hardware are already tuned mechanically; I simply need the firmware side dialed in so I can start printing concrete reliably. If you need additional parameters—steps-per-mm, sensor types, or board revision—let me know and I’ll provide them straight away. Once the firmware boots with stable homing, driver communication, and limit-switch response, we’re done.

Sir, I am a perfect fit for your requirement. I have completed similar Marlin firmware projects and have 17 years of experience in machine automation and motion systems. I can deliver a compile-ready Marlin configuration for your Bigtreetech Octopus Pro, including TB6600 driver mapping, endstop logic, and PlatformIO build/flash guidance. Could you confirm the Octopus Pro revision and Marlin version you prefer? Are the TB6600 drivers connected through STEP/DIR or a UART interface? It would be my pleasure if you give me the opportunity to show my capabilities. Thank you for your valuable time and consideration.

Hi, I have extensive experience with Marlin firmware configuration, Bigtreetech boards, and custom 3D printer setups. I will properly map your drivers, define the new X-axis limit switch logic, and provide fully tailored configuration files. You will also receive a clear guide to compile and flash the firmware using PlatformIO so you can easily reproduce the process later. Please share your steps-per-millimeter and sensor types so we can get your concrete printer running cleanly. Best regards

As a seasoned technical expert with immense experience in software engineering, I am confident that I could provide you with an outstanding Marlin configuration for your Octopus Pro and concrete 3D printer. My extensive knowledge of AI and machine learning paired with my proficiency in Arduino make me the perfect candidate for this task. Additionally, not only can I dial in the firmware side of your printer to ensure reliable concrete printing, but I can also equip you with comprehensive guidance on compiling and flashing via USB using PlatformIO. My previous work as a CTO for an AI startup required me to build intricate digital products and manage complex systems. Whether it's adjusting Configuration.h, configuring UART mode for TB6600, or defining pins for your Octopus Pro, I have the expertise to handle it all. I am eager to discuss the specifics of your project. Let's connect and get your concrete printer running smoothly.

Hi there, > **I am a C++ programmer with experience configuring Marlin firmware for custom boards like the Bigtreetech Octopus Pro. I understand you need the `Configuration.h` and `Configuration_adv.h` files cleanly set up for your concrete 3D printer project. > **To ensure I deliver exactly what you need, please confirm these 4 hardware details: > **1. Which stepper drivers are you using? (e.g., TMC2209, TMC5160, LV8729)** > **2. What are the Steps/mm for your axes and your concrete extruder?** > **3. What thermistor/sensor are you using for high temperatures?** > **4. What is the maximum print bed size?** > OnceI have this info, I will provide the files ready to compile in PlatformIO within 24 hours. Looking forward to work with you!

Hi! I work with Marlin on STM32 boards and can get your Octopus Pro building cleanly. I'll set up Configuration.h and Configuration_adv.h to match your pinout and printer mechanics, map the drivers with the correct jumper settings, add the logic for the new X-axis endstop, and hand you a short PlatformIO build-and-flash guide so you can reproduce it yourself later. One quick thing so I map the drivers right: TB6600 modules are normally step/dir only (no UART) - are you actually running TB6600s with DIP-jumper microstepping, or TMC drivers you'd like in UART mode? That decides the config. I can have a first compile-ready setup ready to flash within a couple of days.

I work as an Industrial Maintenance & Automation Technician in a German heavy mechanical manufacturing company, where I regularly work with industrial control systems, PLCs, electronics, and embedded hardware. Although I haven't worked specifically on a BigTreeTech Octopus Pro before, I am familiar with STM32-based controllers, Arduino/C++, and firmware configuration. Configuring Marlin, mapping drivers, limit switches, and preparing a clean PlatformIO project is a task I can confidently handle with the documentation and your machine parameters. I focus on delivering organized, well-commented work so you can easily maintain and modify the firmware in the future. Feel free to open a chat so we can discuss your printer specifications and get your firmware running correctly.

I can build a clean, compile-ready Marlin firmware setup for your Bigtreetech Octopus Pro concrete 3D printer. I will deliver: Complete Configuration.h and Configuration_adv.h Correct Octopus Pro board/platform setup Axis, endstop, homing, and motion configuration TB6600 external driver STEP/DIR/ENA mapping X-axis limit switch pin setup and logic Required jumper/wiring notes PlatformIO compile instructions USB flashing steps Basic testing checklist for homing, motor direction, endstops, and driver signals One important note: standard TB6600 drivers normally do not use UART like TMC drivers. They usually run through STEP/DIR/ENA signals. I will verify your exact driver model and configure Marlin correctly based on your wiring. To start, I will need the Octopus Pro revision, axis layout, steps/mm, bed size, homing direction, endstop type, X-limit switch wiring, extrusion motor details, and any sensors or emergency stop inputs. The job will be complete once the firmware boots cleanly, compiles without errors, flashes by USB, motors respond correctly, the X-limit switch triggers properly, and homing is stable for concrete printing tests.
