On the file itself, acrylic is unforgiving in specific ways and the cutting file has to account for them: Tool compensation, so the finished guard is the size you drew rather than a bit radius off. A pick guard that fits is a tolerance job, not a drawing job. Internal corners cannot be sharper than the cutter, so pickup cavities and control cutouts need either a matching radius or a relief cut - designed deliberately rather than discovered at the machine. Acrylic melts and rewelds behind the cutter if feeds and speeds are wrong, so the file wants a single-flute O-flute strategy, climb direction for edge finish, and tabs placed where they will not mar a visible edge. And the bevel, if you want one - that is a separate toolpath and worth deciding up front since it changes the outline. Delivered as the VCarve file plus the toolpaths, and a DXF so you are not locked to one machine.
