CAD Designer Needed – Innovative Golf Bag Divider System (Bighead Golf) Budget $250–700 USD (Fixed Price) Bighead Golf is seeking an experienced industrial designer or CAD engineer to develop a proprietary 14-way divider system for a premium cart golf bag called The Bighead Dugout. This is NOT a request to design an entire golf bag. The focus is on creating a patentable top divider assembly that solves a real-world problem. The Challenge Traditional 14-way golf bags are designed for standard golf grips. My company manufactures an oversized baseball-inspired golf grip with a 50 mm butt-end diameter, which causes clubs to interfere with one another in conventional bags. The objective is to design a divider system that: -Fits within a 10.5” (267 mm) maximum bag opening - Holds 14 individual clubs -Uses full-length divider tubes - Eliminates grip interference - Allows one-handed insertion and removal of every club - Remains compatible with both oversized and standard golf grips The divider layout should be inspired by the shape of a baseball home plate, while maximizing packing efficiency and creating a unique visual identity for the brand. Deliverables -Three initial design concepts -Top-down CAD layouts -Cross sections -Native CAD files (SolidWorks or Fusion 360 preferred) - STEP (.stp) files - Two photorealistic renderings of the selected concept Ideal Experience -Industrial/Product Design - Consumer products - Sporting goods - Injection-molded plastics - CAD engineering Golf industry experience is a plus but not required.
