The method I would adopt is to make one common interface/connection and use it as the standard geometrical model for all the interchangeable parts, so that the head, body and legs of each of the animals could be designed separately while maintaining consistency in connection sizes across all the 10 animals. I am proficient in 3D modeling, assemblies and rendering, and I could supply the parts in STEP/STL format. I would take special care in designing clearance at the joints, as well as manufacturability of the parts. In case if you already have the prototype/CAD model of the product, I would develop the common connection and one animal design before doing the other animals.
