I have a hard-shell suitcase in San Antonio, Texas that I need captured as an accurate, engineering-grade 3D model for upcoming product design work. The scan must resolve fine surface features—hinges, wheels, handle recesses, interior ribs—so I can import the geometry straight into CAD without additional cleanup. Because the end use is precise design, please work to a tolerance appropriate for reverse-engineering consumer products. After processing, deliver the finished model in STP/STEP format. A clean, watertight solid with logically named bodies and edges is essential; I don’t need texture or color maps. You will need to visit the location (inside Loop 410) to scan the suitcase. Let me know what scanning method you prefer—structured light, photogrammetry, or LiDAR—and your typical turnaround from on-site capture to final file delivery. If your workflow produces an intermediate mesh (OBJ, PLY, or similar), feel free to share it alongside the STEP so I can preview progress, but the STEP file is the final deliverable.
