I write football match reports (example attached) During the game I have to log events (goals, substitutes, bookings, attendance etc) along with inputting the teams beforehand. It can get hectic at times, a goal followed by a quick substituion, a yellow card (must remember to update the score at the top), I'm sure you get the idea. We have the wire level protocol to configure the data logger, extract data from the device, etc. We have examples of leveraging .Net libraries to communicate with the device, but we need a solution that will run on an embedded Linux PC. We are a JAVA shop looking for an abstraction layer on top (Foreign function interface) of libusb to allow us to communicate with the device. We will provide SSH access to a linux machine with the device connected for testing the solution on. The data logger is using a Cypress Encore serial I/O device. ().
