I am looking for an .htaccess / server response expert to resolve a strange issue on our Wordpress site. This should not take more than an hour of your time but potential for lots of other work as we progress through the project. We have a new site that has been built but we have a lot of old urls that we no longer want but they are returning a response code of 200 which in turn means that Google is still indexing those pages. We would like all pages that are no longer on the site, or not being specifically 301 redirected, to just show a 410 code so google drops them from the index. Although this is a one time quick job for an expert (i.e should not take more than an hour) we would probably need your help for many other issues.
