**The winner will illustrate my first of 3 posture books. In addition to the contest award, my illustrator will receive $1000.00 USD for this first book.

Attached is the cover for my children's book of good posture. Due to my time frame of 2 months and his previous commitments, my illustrator could not complete the job. Although this cover is my vision, he has illustration rights (which sucks!). So I need to keep some elements the same and change the rest so not to step on anybody's toes.

First what I need to stay the same: 1. Simon carrying his backpack on two shoulders standing straight and Stevie carrying his on one shoulder
bent to that side.
2. The straight tree on Simon's side and the crooked tree on Stevie's side. This is a theme that will be
carried on all 30 pages.
3. Their hairstyle has to have that swoop in front. It works well as a visual point of reference when
contrasting good and bad postures.
4. Matching clothing with enough difference to identify the characters.
5. Both need friendly faces with Stevie having less of a smile than Simon. I don't want a sad face on Stevie,
just not as "happy with good posture" face that Simon needs to have. Blue eyes and brown hair too.
6. The boys need to be in shorts and a short sleeve shirt. It helps show nuances in posture better than
when they are fully clothed.

What can change: Everything else. Put the trees in the foreground, background or both. Indoors or outdoors. Definitely make the boys thinner. They should look more like 8-10 year old's and not like the 12-15 year old's they look like in the attachment. I want a beautiful use of colors that pops and just screams to be picked up. Although they need blue eyes and brown hair, change up the face please. This is a very important part. Good Luck!!!
