We need a simple Wordpress site for a new Awards Academy.

-- Unique.
-- Colors: Blue, gold, and black - gold should be easily changed to silver (would love to see a version in silver)
-- Show at least 2 pages. 1 front page, and 1 or 2 inner pages
-- Image Slider on 2/3's of the home page, right side open for: content, sponsors, calls to action.
-- Creative use of our logo is encouraged (eg. breach header, nav, body)
-- Images of professionals, executives, red carpet (for now as we do not have images of winners yet)
-- It's an awards site... consider: grammy.com, emmys.com, and oscar.go.com.
-- Consider the small headers of the comparable sites (or logo should perhaps overlay/breach the menu?)
-- All images, css, and content must be simple to change in the CMS.
-- We will have members so a section (Join | Login) need to be top right
-- Social Media should be above the fold (perhaps in the 1/3rd next to slider)

>> Once selected we need the winner to install, set-up, and skin our wordpress with their design.

** Those who submit multiple quality entries will receive higher consideration

“It was never delivered. The design \'looked\' nice, but he didn\'t complete the skinning, and set-up process with Wordpress, which was part of the contest requirement. I protest this... and I expect FreeLancer to take back the $600 which this user did not earn.... YET. If WebExpertz delivers... and does the job he has agreed too... then I would be glad to alter my feedback. But, right now, I would advise that NO ONE use him. I am very disappointed. He quit responding. My deadline is blown, we lost $600, and we have to start over.”

Please remember, to also submit and inner page design... Also please remember that this is an "awards" site. Like emmy.com, grammy.com, cmt.com/cmt-music-awards, abc.go.com/shows/american-music-awards, oscar.go.com/, http://www.mtv.com/ontv/vma/2012/... etc. So, pictures of kids and family ... are not where we are.

Our awardee's will be business professionals. So, please show people like that in your images.

Consider the use of the logo (only the logo) on this website.... http://opesfinancialsolutions.com/

We do not like this site... nor the colors... but it shows a creative way to use the logo. The logo breach's the header, nav, and body.

This may be a way to use the logo without having a HUGE header that must contain the whole logo. Consider at least, partial overlap of the nav bar with the logo. Left or center aligned examples are okay... typical left aligned may not be the winning combination (love to see both). For nav room, consider combining News and Blog to just Blog. Also consider linking logo to home and not having a home menu item.
