Résumé de concours
UPDATE: Can someone please try something with the vector file we've added? ([login to view URL]) Probably on a white / light background. You may need to re-colour the darker ribbons into some more appropriate lighter colours with a gradient.
We are looking to update the design of our membership cards that we issue to our members - badminton players in Western Australia. We've had our previous design for 3 years, and feel that it's time for something visually new and fresh. Only one side of the card needs to be designed - the other will contain variable information (member's name etc) that we print in house. The image has to contain a logo which should be clearly visible.
About our membership: a member of Badminton WA can be as young as 8 and as mature as 80 y.o. Some are excellent competition players, train regularly etc, while others only play socially about once a week.
* previous card design,
* our logo in 2 variants (we don't have a confirmed logo design for black/dark backgrounds and some adaptation may be required - see the previous card design for an example)
* finished artwork specification from the printers (please disregard the part with magnetic strip / signature panel).
Please refrain from using stock images which are very popular (first page in google image search).
The new design doesn't have to have a figure of a badminton player but some badminton image / motif is necessary. Plastic shuttlecocks are a no go: "proper" badminton shuttles are made of real feathers. Please note that some badminton images may seem OK (or even fantastic) to someone not closely familiar with the sport, but will look bad to experienced players. We can provide this kind of feedback on your proposed designs.
We intend to make the contest guaranteed once some reasonable quality ideas start to appear.
