Résumé du concours

We are currently looking for a redesign of the icon of our already released game "6th Planet" (https://itunes.apple.com/be/app/6th-planet/id420388344?mt=8).

Our current icon just uses a screen from our comic book, which is nice in itself but doesn't really work on smaller devices, nor is at a true 'game icon'.
We were looking for an icon design where you can clearly see our spaceship (6th Planet is a lander game) in the foreground against a deep space setting in the background.

Attached you will find:
- a few in-game & comic screenshots, this gives you an idea of the overall look & feel that is rather dark/obscure and aimed at the more mature gamer.
- a rough sketch of how we would like our new icon to look like.
- the icon of the game Retrobot, that shows an icon of a quality similar to what we would like for 6th Planet.
(note: the red rectangle on background.png does NOT show the only possible or required background. It's just there to inspire.)

For this assignment you can of course make use of some of our existing art, if interested.
