A NY Times bestselling author has recently acquired her backlist rights.
Your name/company will be featured in the credits and on the backside or inside flap of covers.

We are looking for a designer to design 4 covers.
This contest is for 2 books and to evaluate whether the designer can "brand" the author.

This first design must be:
1) high resolution for print
2) high resolution for ebook
3) front and back for print
4) be a NEW and exciting branding of authors name and covers.

Included in the files is a synopsis of the two books and their titles.

We will go thru a process of elimination, where there will be a final 5 entries that the author will work with.

  I also saw that she already has a book cover for these books. Do you want to republish of those books and a rebranding?

Here is the author feedback information regarding seeing some of you covers (for clarification issues1) more about texture than a recognizable icon
Examples: A PERFECT EVIL
BLUE and WHITE
ice, snow, frost, melting ice on glass (or window)

2) TYPE should be the same for all three but could be manipulated for each.
Example: A PERFECT EVIL
could be smeared or have a fogged shadow (faint, not overwhelming)
ALEX KAVA should always be bigger and use brand name typeface

3) Drop or smear of blood in the lower righthand corner (similar to WHITEWASH's pb cover).

I am excited about the project, and am going to submit a final mockup of the project. I am using stock photos that will need to be changed to real stock photos bought from a site such as dreams time and such. Won't be that hard to do. But that way you can get an idea of what I can do. As a fellow Author I understand how hard it can be to brand someone, and looking at Ms. Kava's work I am excited to get to know more of her books.
