This is a contest drawing a Japanese Cat Ninja character. We are an electronic music record label based in Japan & Las Vegas. Our company theme is Ninjas, and we are creating a viral series of Cat Ninja t-shirts & other items.

We want an artist to draw a Neko (Cat) Ninja doing something really cool. This should be good enough to go viral. Here are words to help guide you...but these are JUST ideas -

Kunoichi
Hello Kitty
Anime
Bad (mean) Kitty Face
Shuriken
Fighting against Dogs
Fish-bone
Cool more than cute (but not uncute!)

These are just a few ideas to get you going...but our company sells a Japanese theme to a Western audience. Our products are all made in Japan, as our company is based there.

For this contest, we want everyone to submit one drawing of a Cat Ninja doing something incredible. Something that will WOW us. This character should have viral qualities, which means it could be very simple or very complex. It could be old school Japanese animation, cut out photo art, or cool character styles of today.

The winner gets $200 for 5 awesome images of that same character.

Be creative, be witty, be viral.

Some of you who know me, know that I have multiple companies across different areas, but always have high expectations for the work we deliver.

Thanks to everyone who accepted our win! What you all don't know, is that those of you who accepted our offer, will be seeing more work in the future. It was secret up until now, but our project is actually a platform to find more paying work for artists. We are actually professional filmmakers from Hollywood, and are doing this side project as a way to bring in $$$ for artists. You all will be part of a team that other companies in Hollywood and USA can hire for art work (for real US wages). We are glad to be working with such amazing artists!

$100 - Tatasta - Tatasta’s style is so different from everyone else. So much so, that we are going to hire her help design the entire template for our website. The painted style is perfect for our brand, and we are lucky to have found a special artist like this. I have always imagined a style like this in my head for our entire brand, but don’t have the skills to bring that idea to life. Tatasta’s style has opened up doors of possibility for our brand. I am happy with my result..i know that from first day..i could not win for first place because of my style and you are right my style is good for book illustration and other illustration..thanks for including me in the winner list of third place..thanks man you are awesome..apart from this best part of contest is everybody get chance for improving there art style..and everyone did that i can see the improvements!

$200 - werenwow - We absolutely LOVE this character and style! This was a pretty easy decision for #1 for us. We love the Kunoichi! Each of these will make fantastic t-shirts, and will show professionalism with our brand. From the beginning, when you first drew the image with the bamboo background, everyone knew the contest stepped up. I feel that it was at that point, that everyone started submitting extremely high quality images. You set the bar high for this contest. From that point on, really only talented artists hung around this contest. Great work, you are incredible!

$100 - Saorika - Saori hit a home-run with the Osaka tako-yaki image. Saori has been sitting at the top of this contest since the beginning due to her ability to make a “bad but cute” character. It’s perfect for our brand. This will be very popular with so many people! Her character is the right kind of bad/cute that we like!

$100 - orrlov - This is one of the best t-shirt designs in this contest! Natsuko says she will be ordering the one with the balloons for herself. The balloon image is our favorite, specifically the way the cat is being pulled by it’s neck fur. We may even use these as our logo at times. There is wit intwined into these images…just the right amount. Simple, but great. Totally an easy choice for a winner here.

This style is going to be a tough transition to t-shirts, but we look forward to trying to make it work. This was one of our favorites during the entire contest. We specifically love the final design with the vintage effect on it. This will look great on t-shirts. Also, German won the extra project for $200 designing the t-shirt mock ups for us.
