  Thanks to "easywebber" we had a significant slowdown in entries in week 2. I have reported his unprofessionalism to Freelancer.com. Designers can make their own decisions on the right ethics by following the thread below, which included "easywebber's" last comment of "perhaps I misread your comment". Thanks to all the other professionals who took part in this process.

     In my last comment here, I was actually trying to be nice, make light of the situation & give you the benefit of the doubt. But let me "spell it out for you"; I absolutely did NOT misread your comment and you could have responded on the clarification forum below ("CH, if you're no longer considering new entries I think it'd only be fair to let people know on here.") SO much better. That said, your prompt & public response to that made it abundantly clear that you WERE still open to new designs - this was available for all to see - so how can you pin a slowdown in submissions on me? Get a grip.
     
     And you have the gall to accuse ME of unprofessionalism? Good grief.

     I've not heard anything from Freelancer regarding your report, and would be unsurprised if this remained the case. However, if I do then during arbitration you will find yourself being similarly reported for singling me out for this unwarranted and slanderous attention. It's abundantly clear that there is no way I could've been trying to gain any kind of advantage in this contest as my entries were not going to be considered; on the contrary, I effectively withdrew & was looking out for fellow designers so they wouldn't waste their own precious time. And if that wasn't going to be the case then simply clear the matter up, don't come after me. I've never shown any animosity towards contest holders or fellow designers on Freelancer, EVER.

     Yes, sure. I'll work on that. But I would prefer to do something kind of different and not just copy their graphics. I'll try something different and then you tell me if it's good or if your prefer the graphics of Rethink, reinvent and rewire. Would that be ok?

     No I didn't. To spell it our for you: the contest lasts for two weeks, my strategy is to shortlist the best entries from the first week (which unfortunately yours did not make). Those best entries would then be measured against the best entries from week 2. If you stick to the design part and let the contest holder manage the competition then everyone would be better off.

     Yeah, you kinda did! But look, it's not worth it. Perhaps I misread your comment a bit; you'd asked me to make changes & then it very much sounded like I'd spent a day of effort for nothing. We've all got busy lives, I won't bore you with all the stresses I'm under, but sometimes as designers we can take such dismissal a little hard. For designers, Freelancer can mean a lot of work for very little (if any) reward. I wasn't trying to "manage the competition" and I hope you're happy with the winning design you choose. Peace out.
