Contest Brief

We are looking to completely redesign our current site www.learningwings.com.sg. We are a leading education company serving public schools.

The target audience and purpose of the site are:
- School Teachers and decision makers
- To attract teachers / trainers to join us
- Students to blog or upload pictures / testimonials.

What we require:
- An attractive responsive site, must be used across all platforms like smartphones, tablets and computers.
- MUST HAVE Simple to use CMS. Must be easy to add new pages, update text, pictures and videos or downloadable forms. All things on site must be easily uploaded and edited.
- Must be a CLASSY, beautiful and functional new design.
o Must be visually stunning and clever. Be creative! Excellent design skills a must.
o Can be html or suggest.
o Effective and clean navigation to bring the user through the site. Will make the user think, “Wow, that’s clever.” Be creative once again!
o The homepage can be the long responsive page that scrolls down with links appropriately, and subsequent sections for our various programmes.
 Homepage, school programmes, Gallery, FAQs, clients and testimonials. I like the testimonials appearing over the large pictures around the site.
o Easy to use, engage the visitor to go to other content/pages within the next 10 secs.
o Easily crawled by search engines for SEO purposes. Ideal for you to have SEO background.
o You are responsible to create, search for or use effective pictures / custom graphics / icons. So graphic design skills is necessary. Don’t purchase pictures.
o Must use our logo. Corporate colours are according to the logo. In additional, the background should be a tint of earth colour for branding (orange/yellow/light brown)
o Users must easily access to social media like FB, social links, email page to their friends and contact us from anywhere.
o We are looking for original design and outline. Not from template.
o You can use the logo, pictures or text from the site. We can change the text/pictures later. That is why they have to be easily updated.
- Google analytics
- Deliverable of contest: 1 x mockup of homepage and 1 x other page (if it differs from look and feel of the homepage) for both PC and mobile platform (Total 4 Mockups) and tell us which CMS to use (and why).
- No backlinks or your promotion anywhere.
- We will own source files, graphics, pictures in editable format. Assist us to upload to our hosting (we will provide) and get the website live.
- 1 email html template that can conform to any screen size. It should be able to be used on Outlook, Gmail, or platforms like Mailchimp.

How will contest be judged:
- Creativity of design & structure
- Visually Stunning
- How easy to use the site (for the visitor) and how easy to update (for the administrator). Here do propose what CMS to use.
- The responsiveness, advice and proposals of the communication with the contestant. The more value-add you give, the better.
o Here we must add that we want to work with individuals, not companies; with skillsets like graphic design, website design, development, SEO. We want to work with the actual person who is going to build the site.
- Remember: Only Mockups of Homepage and 1 other (for both PC and Mobile) is required. The winner will continue to build the site.

What the selected winner of the contest can expect:
- I will create a project ($700-$1000) and Contest Winner will continue to build the site based on the design proposed. Commit to deliver complete site under 2 weeks from awarding.
- Continue to do additional work for this and other sites we own
- We guarantee this contest will be awarded to the best entry / presentation.

I want an amazing and reliable designer. Think outside the box, we need something visually amazing. Looking forward to your suggestions!

Once again, the site is NOT meant for children. IT has to be visually awesome, clever navigation, different, RESPONSIVE (adapts itself to all screens and resolution) and meant for adults, decision makes. Stay away from the current pastel colours that make it kiddy. It should be classy, creative. Must be clean and creative where the visitor on first look will say, "Wow". MUST be easy to update everything. Lightweight. Preferable to be able to have in multiple asian languages. Be creative and Win!

  Yes, the winner goes on to build the site. If contestants do not want to go on to build the site, then pls do not participate. I have put the requirements of the site itself and amount thereafter for all to see. Most creative and visually amazing design wins.

  I am looking for an original visually stunning design. I took a long time to describe my requirements and look and feel, without going into specifics. or you would follow those sample sites. What's the point of running this contest if I get many similar designs? I am prepared to be surprised by talents out there! If I took my time to craft out the brief,don't give me a dry cut template you ripped from elsewhere, or do a cut and paste job without much thought. I am sure there are deserving and talent people out there!

Run the description. I repeat, I want an original visually stunning design - not a run of the mill template. If you do, your design will be rejected and most certainly will not get to build the rest of the site.
