Contest Brief

Project Brief: Logo & Icon Design for “eylyda”

We are seeking a distinctive, elevated logo and icon for our brand eylyda. The brand direction is modern, minimal, and design-forward, with a strong emphasis on uniqueness and visual identity.

Creative Direction:
The logo should feel cool, intentional, and effortlessly refined—something that stands apart from typical fashion or accessory branding. We are not looking for anything overly decorative or cliché. The goal is a mark that feels editorial, slightly unexpected, and memorable.

The logo should not use any recognizable or widely available font. We are specifically looking for a custom-drawn wordmark that feels unique to eylyda and cannot be easily replicated.

Possible idea for typography focus:
The treatment of the letters “y” within eylyda.

Open to creative interpretations such as:
Subtle mirroring or symmetry between the two “y”s
Custom letterform manipulation
Hidden design elements or negative space
Structural or geometric reinterpretation


Logo Requirements:

Custom wordmark for eylyda
Clean, modern, and scalable
Works across digital and physical applications (tags, embroidery, packaging)
Strong enough to stand alone without additional graphics

Icon Development:
In addition to the wordmark, we are looking for a separate standalone icon that can function independently.

The icon should:

Be derived from or inspired by the logo (ideally the “y” concept)
Feel minimal, clever, and recognizable
Work well for small-scale applications (labels, hardware, social icons)
Avoid obvious or overused symbols

Brand Aesthetic:

Minimal but impactful
Fashion-forward / editorial
Slightly artistic or abstract
High-end without feeling traditional or overly feminine
Clean lines, strong form, and thoughtful negative space

Do Not Want:

Script or overly feminine fonts
Generic luxury logos
Trendy or overdone design styles
Literal symbols that feel obvious or expected
Thick or Large Letters

End Goal:
A logo and icon that feel like a brand you’d recognize instantly, with a subtle design detail (especially in the “y”)

Deliverables
• Primary logo (vector + high-res PNG)
• Stand-alone icon that works as an app badge / favicon
• Reversible versions for light and dark backgrounds
• Original, editable source files (AI or SVG)

    Heads up CH almost every entry is going to be AI-generated (99% AI). These scammers are flooding the contest with HUNDREDS of AI images each, but they’re easy to catch because they dump everything at lightning speed. Real handmade designs take serious time, so nobody drops multiple totally different entries back-to-back. Quickest way to expose them: type their username into “Search Entries” and watch the spam pattern and insane posting rate. ALWAYS SEARCH NAMES. I cannot say it louder, every single entry that catches your eye, SEARCH THE NAME immediately.

    AI-generated images have ZERO copyright protection. Anyone can steal the design and you could end up in legal fights over ownership or usage rights later.
