MacTech Magazine is the oldest publication in the Apple market. We have a special issue in production now, and need a special cover. The main concept is a "shootout" article between two pieces of software. Attached are examples of previous ones we've done.
We're thinking cars -- something like the one shown, but it should be slightly different. Neither can be shown in the lead. One car should not look "faster" than the other (i.e., it should be the same model, different color). Photorealism is a plus.
Other ideas are welcome -- but if not, cars are the default.
We're positioning this gig as more of a "experiment". If the project goes well, the person will likely get used for other projects.
This is a gig to build your resume. After all, how often do people get to say that they built an anniversary issue of a print magazine distributed to 50 countries?

Added: While we appreciate the mockup having the logo on it, we only need the image (the text, masthead, etc...) will be handled by us.
