Contest Brief
I have an AI-generated app icon that I like and would like to use as the visual direction for my macOS app icon, I'm open for modification and if you want more informations about what my app will do, then write to me.
I need the icon recreated professionally in a few versions:
1. Main app icon
- Based on the attached reference image - can be identical, but I'm open on modifications
- Can be vector or raster version with editable layers.
- Background should be on a separate layer.
- The main symbol/object should also be available separately, because I want to reuse it in other parts of the app.
- Minimum size: 1024 × 1024 px.
- Ideally suitable for macOS app icon export in different required sizes.
- Nice to have: This icon in Apple Icon Composer
2. Simplified vector icon for the macOS menu bar
- Monochrome version only.
- No gradients, shadows, or colours.
- Should work clearly in both black and white.
- Intended for the macOS menu bar/status bar, so it must remain readable at small sizes.
- Icon should show app states and my goal is to easily identify current state by the user. Available states: Idle, Active, Active agent (current idea is that will be this same icon as Active but in different colour), Active with timer (next to icon will be countdown timer, color of the timer font is in control of the system, usually white). Active means that is enabled screen saver prevention.
- Inspiration should be SFSymbols icon behaviour and design. Clean and minimalistic.
3. Alternative menu bar state
- Same simplified vector icon as above, but with the lock shown as open/unlocked.
- This version will represent a different app state in the macOS menu bar.
The most important requirement is that the icon keeps the same recognisable idea as the reference: a clock/timer symbol combined with a lock and a power button shape, simplified enough to work well both as a macOS app icon and as a small menu bar icon. The fact that the hour and minute hands also resemble a checkmark is intentional.
I have also attached other AI-generated versions as additional references, but atControll-icon.png is my preferred direction and should be treated as the main reference.
