Project: Logo for One Club – Indoor Padel Club

1. About One Club

One Club is a new indoor padel club opening in Hartlepool, UK.

We’re building:

- 7 competition-quality indoor courts (8m+ high, non‑slip, weather‑proof)
- A warm clubhouse with coffee/beer, seating, and court views
- A proper club, not just a booking app

We exist for adults who want:

- Better games (fair, level‑matched, organised)
- Better courts (high roofs, dry, good lighting)
- Better club feel (welcoming, no cliques, somewhere you stay after playing)

Think: the best bits of a serious sports club + the comfort of a good local pub.

2. Brand name & tagline

- Primary name: One Club
- Descriptor (sometimes used with logo): Hartlepool Padel Club
- Location (sometimes used): Hartlepool

We need a logo that works as:

- “One Club”
- “One Club - Hartlepool Padel Club”

3. What the logo must communicate

Core ideas:

- Community & belonging → “this is my club”
- Quality & seriousness → proper sport, not a gimmick
- FUN - clear element of a fun feeling added to the logo
- Warmth & welcome → friendly, NOT corporate or night‑clubby

Who it’s for:

- 25–50 year olds, mixed gender
- Active adults
- Play for FUN *and* competition

We are **not** a kids’ fun park or a stag‑do venue.

Overall feel:

- Clean, modern, sports club
- Confident but not shouty
- Warm, not cold/tech or nightclub

Icon:

- Simple, strong, recognisable
- Can be:
- An associated clean monogram that can be used separately as a Favicon - IMPORTANT
- NO detailed illustrations, no cheesy padel clip‑art

Wordmark:

- Sans‑serif, clear, legible at a distance
- Should look good on:
- Entrance and Court-side signage
- Club merchandise (t‑shirts, hoodies, caps)
- Social media avatars and app icons
- Please submit with these variations

Please use your creativity following the brief.

Requirements:

- Logo must work in:
- Full colour
- Black only
- White only

Avoid:

- Neon nightclub palettes
- Overly “tech startup” gradients

6. Practical requirements

Your submission should include:

1. Primary logo (horizontal)**
- Icon + “One Club” wordmark
- With and without the word “Hartlepool Padel Club"

2. Secondary logo (stacked / badge)**
- For social avatars and apparel
- Can be icon alone or icon + “One Club”

3. Monochrome versions
- Black on white
- White on dark background

4. File formats
- Vector: AI or EPS + SVG
- Web: PNG (transparent), JPG
- Please show mockups:
- On dark background
- On light background
- On a court fence or wall
- On a t‑shirt or hoodie

7. What to avoid

Please **avoid**:

- Literal or cheesy padel clip‑art (e.g. detailed paddles with dots, cartoon balls)
- Overly thin lines that disappear at small sizes
- Script fonts or very decorative fonts
- Busy designs with lots of tiny details
- Logos that only work in full colour but fall apart in one colour

We **do not** want to copy any existing brand; we’re looking for:

9. How we’ll judge entries

We’ll favour logos that:

1. Look great in one colour at small sizes
2. Feel like a serious, modern **club**, not an app or party venue
3. Are easy to reproduce on everything from fences to hoodies
4. Have a recognisable icon we can use standalone (social, merch, etc.)

If you have to choose between fancy and simple, choose simple.
