I need a vectorial logo for my future language learning website. The name is “Language Journeys”, and combines the idea of traveling while learning a language. Maybe a suitcase or a luggage tag hanging from one of the letters? But I don’t want to condition you. Whatever comes to your mind when you hear the name. I need the logo for my profile picture on facebook, twitter, youtube and linkedin.

On the other hand, logos #23 , #24 , #34 and its variations conveyed the idea of “language” (speech bubbles, Babel Tower) but not “journey”. Logo #5, although nice, did not convey the idea either of language or journey. So I was left with my favorites: #9 , #15 , #22 , and #25 . After consulting with friends, I finally chose #9 . Please note my rating is based on what I was looking for, not on the quality or talent of your logo. Thanks for your understanding.

Apart from that I do not like overloaded logos, so I had to discard #4 , #14 and #31 . Although some logos were symbolic, I did not like the layout ( #17 , #32 ). Logos #7 , #26 , #27 conveyed the idea of “journey” (plane around the world) but not “language” – and might lead people to believe it was a travel agency.

This is my first contest, so I must apologize for any mistakes in the process, including my late feedback. It was not an easy choice, since I saw a lot of talent everywhere. Here’s my feedback. Since the logo was for a profile picture, I needed self-explaining symbolic logos that would fit the size. I had to discard those logos that were difficult to see when reduced ( #2 , #3 , #10 , #13 , #16 , #18 , #19 , #21 ).
