Our start-up needs a logo/icon for our unreleased product (which is a web platform) called Artist.ly.

What's Artist.ly?

It's a creative networking service that allows users to express themselves to the web by sharing their own art and/or art from others on the web that they like very easily. (Music, Photos, and Videos.)

What do we want to see in the logo/icon?

**Simplicity, attractiveness, and unique enough to remember**

We want to see quality (we should be able to scale it larger/smaller without any problems in illustrator,) NO BEVEL & EMBOSS please.

Whatever looks smooth and appealing.

A hipster-ish touch to the logo would be nice if possible.

Keep in mind: This is for a product that'll have a large user-base so think of the publicity this will get you as a designer.

The contest winner will be someone we will actively promote in the start-up scene and will use for future projects.

Do you want specify what you actually like or do not like? It is quite hard to make something accredited because of high uncertainty of your requirements. Should it indicate art? Should it be more official? Should it show the services you provide etc.? What do you think should interest an average user in your service? Be precise, please; we need more info.

We're not promoting copying other entries, we're just saying what's still around is what we're interested in. We wanted to leave it open to the design web communities creativity.
