ackground philsophy

Our One Village program is based on the African proverb ‘It takes a whole village to raise a child’. ‘The proverb is based on the philosophy that children are considered a blessing for the whole community. As such raising a child is a communal effort including the wider community such as neighbours and friends. Responsibility for raising children is shared with the immediate family especially older siblings, extended family including grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Our One Viallge programs aims to promote the development, independence and self-worth of each individual, child/young person in their home and within the community.
