What is the difference between #1 and #299 the winning design ? Is it needed all the fuss and wait? My idea was since the first of my entries, what a wonder!!

Interesting story.
A few hours after I posted my critique towards the CH, he moved my design from 4-star to 5-star and created a new private project for me proposing to do business together, to design a new logo for him. I was happy to see positive feedback, and a proof that my feedback was taken into consideration and that he has found value in it, and proceeded with my proposition and requesting more information. I accepted the project, GAF took $5 fee, and today the project was canceled without any reply and no money was refunded. Thank God I didn't accept a project of $500 or more. I was so excited of the opportunity that I would off just accepted a project like this. Anyways...

I'm surprised and also dissapointed to see the turn this contest is taking considering the brief. It seems like someone has written the brief and someone else is choosing the logos. To put it briefly, none of the top rated designs match what is written in the brief. The brief contains positive, self-help-like instructions towards picking an "empowering, motivating, exciting" logo, but your pickings are pointing to something totally different.

The brief is written by someone who reads self-help and the logos are picked by someone who didn't understood what the self-help is really about. All the self-help advice revolves around emotions and using information to stimulate your emotional brain to fuel you towards taking action. Those 4 logos DO NOT stimulate your emotional brain !

CH, you are obviously a very nerdy, very intelectual, introverted, anti-social kind of person, otherwise you won't have made such bad pickings that make you feel absolutely nothing. Let me explain.

  I'm not buying into your hatred renzvan - design has a language and some people do not understand it. When you meet face to face with a client it is sometimes a educative process. If we all followed your way of thinking only 'popular' art like the 3 flying ducks would get made. And for your information I am really educated in art and design.
