Interesting, but not really what I'm looking for. I'm not really sure what kind of feedback to give other than now I'm mainly looking at gold and silver as primary colors of the logo (as in the color of gold and silver coin) - a straight across textual logo, strong and modern looking

After seeing a lot of the designs now, I'm definitely going for a circumscribed A coupled with very legible text for the rest of the logo and to use gold and silver as primary colors (as in the color of gold and silver coin)

It's the "werx" part on this that didn't seem right to me. Also the overall lettering is really thin in contrast to the thick A, so it might be more balanced to make the other letters thicker too

Try the A on top and the gear a darker gold like the rest of the gold letters. It looks ok on black, but gets very hard to see on white, I think probably due to the shiny parts of the letters.

You got a lot of things right on these, but that's not a good way for me to present the A. Any ideas that would involve circumscribing an A with a sun? (one guy did it with a very nice gear, which is good and symbolic of work and progress, but the problem is gears are maybe overused and cliche, so perhaps a sun might be a good alternative but I'm just having a hard time imagining how it might be done right. It's just an idea, I'm not even sure if thats the best way to circumscribe or not

In #124 - what if the smaller gear was a dot above the i and the A was silver, "ction" was gold, and then "werx" was silver again? (the gear itself would be gold)

Your best ones are #113 and #86 , however the change in colors on #113 makes the text hard to read due to the background. Perhaps black background and gold and silver text contrast would be more legible?

Thank you - The 3 stars is just my way of saying "good" or "ok" so that it separates out the design from the ones that I knew right away were wrong for the project. The ones that have 4 stars are ones I like a lot and as of right now, nothing has 5 stars. So 3 stars is a good thing.

#117 is too sloppy, which I can understand why you did it that way, but I'm trying to convey organization and community, which are not typically associated with the "disorganized anarchy" that most people think the symbol stands for

Thanks you but unfortunately not what I am looking for. After seeing all the submissions coming in, the final logo will definitely have to contain some form of circumscribed A in a "textual" format (all on one line, no "top part" and "bottom part"

Good format (textual, all on one line) but the circumscribed A doesn't look as instantly recognizable as an A as it needs to be. Overall the font isn't right

Unfortunately it's not what I'm looking for. The best designs so far are definitely ones that focus on the preferred format of "textual" where the whole thing is on a single line, as opposed to a "top part graphic" and a text "bottom part". The key to getting it right is to use a distinct but very legible font and to properly circumscribe the A in a way that is both symbolic of what I talked about in the description and provided examples but different enough that I can "own" the image.

Sorry about that - I haven't commented due to personal time constraints today and also because some designs are so far off from what I'm looking for, that I am not even sure how to respond with constructive comments that would help. The best designs so far are definitely ones that focus on the preferred format of "textual" where the whole thing is on a single line.
