Contest Brief
We need a logo and business card design for our company Malta Webstudio. Target audience are small and medium sized companies based in Malta.
We want to use the colors in the Maltese flag, which is RED (#cc0000) and WHITE. You could also use variations of red and white and perhaps add GREYor BLACK. But that´s up to you to decide. Don´t use too many colors, variants or gradient. Keep it simple...
We also want to include the Maltese Cross in the logo, http://www.clipartbest.com/cliparts/dir/aex/diraex9i9.png. The way we see is that the name itself is sort of self explanatory and don´t need an illustration to enhance what we are doing, but if you see it differently, be my guest and fire away.
The logo should work on both white background and red background and for that sake it probably needs to be inverted in some way. That´s up to you.
Business card should reflect the colors and logo. Keep it simple here as well. No specific font to use, but I would prefer one where I don´t need to spend a shole lot of cash to buy a font... The business card could be double-sided, you decide. Anything which makes it stand out and enhances the profile,
File formats in general:
jpg, png, eps, psd and pdf (all in high resolution so it could be used in print if needed)

A general comment I have is that the cross shouldn´t bes distorted in proportions or skewed in any way. It´s also important that it is easy to read the full company name. And I don´t like or want shadows or embossing...
