Attention designers! Help me build the brand that tells our story! Starting with a logo!

I'm No Expert - especially at graphic design, and I need your help!

I've written a book which tells the uplifting story of the clean and peaceful planet of our future, free of war, pollution, and bigotry. The story is intended to inspire 20-40 year-olds around the world to turn off their televisions and facebooks and become leaders in peace, equality, and global unity. To get involved, lend a hand, share fresh ideas. To make the world a better, happier place. We're tired of old, white, homophobic, sexist, rich men ruining our planet! Time to stand up and demand change! BUT change comes from within - our story introduces new, creative and entertaining ideas and opinions by global thought leaders to help anyone realize that THEY have the power to change the world simply by changing their perspective on it.

"imnoexpert.com" is the website that will sell the book, present videos of amazing people around the world, and showcase new green technologies and other innovations that are changing our world for the better. "I'm No Expert" is the brand, suggesting that we aren't experts in saving the planet, we're just a group of creative fresh thinkers with some new uplifting ideas.

This logo will be on our business cards, and the website. The winning designer may be hired for additional branding work as we develop the project.

A clean, peaceful planet requires a fresh perspective on our world and this project requires a fresh logo and brand!

For the logo, I picture happy bright colours of Springtime. The logo should be inspiring, peaceful but NOT "hippy" or "new age" or such. It should be modern, simple, clean. It should inspire ideas, creativity, peace, and global thinking.

For inspiration, other keywords for our brand include:
Fresh, nature, Earth, ideas & opinions, peace, unity, tolerance, playfulness, creativity, laughter, intelligence, stories, Spring, global voices, forward thinking,
equality, practical, grounded, helpful.

Sorry for not replying sooner. These ideas all look great, thanks very much. My favourite style so far is vicbaul's - the "thought bubble" globe/bulb does a great job of telling the story.
Isaaccg - I take it you think the project's a bit cheesy? :-)

debamit - is that a tie flipping the bird?? That's awesome! Not quite what I'm looking for, but it's a great visual for "sticking it to the man"!
From what I'm seeing, I feel I want the words to be small and simple, not the defining part of the logo. I'm liking blues and greens and I definitely like it on a transparent background, i.e. not so much Crushedpixel. The logo should stand alone without the big square border.

Can you see comments of other artist's work on this contest? I've added some specific feedback to vicbaul's design. Take a look, in case that stimulates other ideas.

  It's cute, but perhaps a bit too simple. This project will be suggesting ideas that will be profoundly different than the status quo. To get through the doors of global experts and players we need to present ourselves as sophisticated, professional, experienced, intelligent. Ideas like these are quickly dismissed as naive, youthful, dreamy... I need to counter those assumptions.

The UNIVERSAL symbol for IDEA is the LIGHT BULB. The GLOBE has been "my" idea in many other projects. Do you mean you "stole" MY IDEA? Here is another one for you... the universal symbol for PEACE is a circle with an inverted "Y" and a line between "triangle" part. One more... the universal symbol for love is a heart.
