I want a stylized illustration of myself, that fits very closely the style of the old GI Joe "file cards" from the back of the figurine packaging. I've attached some examples of those (just the character illustration, I don't need anything more than that), along with some photos of myself.

I'd prefer a vector file, but a high-resolution bitmap will also work. I don't need a full-body shot. It can be cropped close on the sides and go down to a little above the waist, as many of these examples show. I don't need a full body image, but you're welcome to do that, if you want to do the extra work.

The only thing you have to mimic from myself, is a stylized version of my face. I've included some pictures of myself for you to look at and try to capture in the illustration. You can make up the, body (or just torso), clothes and gear. It can be whatever.

The purpose is to use it for my avatar at my job (technology oriented company). So if you can think of something that makes sense to put in one or more of my hands, like a gun or a smartphone or something, that's fine. As you'll notice many of the images don't even show their hands, or a gun, so it's fine if no hands, guns, smartphone, etc are shown at all.

It boils down to 2 things: 1) capturing my face (it has to look like me, though a simplified GI Joe-style version), and 2) capturing the style of the original GI Joe illustrations (including some of the nuance like how they tend to be leaning toward the viewer and to the right or left, how they go out of frame, etc. Merely putting my face from one of the photos will not work. It needs to be an illustrated version of me the is part of the whole picture.

  Yes I have, I thought I answered...? Anyway, answer is yes, they're layered, figure is detached from background an the logo. If you'd choose #10 , that is how you would get the image, full figure and layered. You could then crop as pleased, whether it's full image or a part of it.

I might accept a sorta "updated" or "modernized" style, if it looks really good. But it would still need to capture the overall feel of those originals.
