Contest Brief

We are a manufacturer of precast concrete products.
Our number on customer is contractors
they are really busy
They have a lot of factors to think about when they are on a job
We want to have a poster to remind everyone in our organization that we are a small part of the contractors big project
and that he has many other things to think about than us

I have sketched a basic idea showing a contractor thinking of all the things he has to deal with on his jobsite.
We - Sanderson Concrete Inc ( logo provided does not have blue behind it - this is a screenshot. Proper logo will be provided later. Just use this for now) will provide his precast and it will take this problem off his hands

The idea is to show graphically that this guy has so much to think about and deal with:
The architect
The project owner
His boss
His project manager
his subtrades - carpenters etc - there are a lot
his materials - concrete, wood, etc - there are a lot
weather
changes in design
etc. The idea is to show that he has so much to think about, but we - Sanderson Concrete - will deal with the precast and we are going to help him and not be a problem. We are not superheroes, but we are here to help and get this one (out of many) problems out of his way and take care of him.

This contest will be the first poster of at least 3. This poster is to show a contractor that is a general contractor (with all the above and more to think about) The successful winner of this contest will be asked to create - as a project, for which you will be paid similarly - a poster of a masonry contractor and a landscape contractor. The next two will be the same layout, same image of a contractor (using the same guy or someone really close) but specifically as a mason or landscaper.

I would like the contractors to be cartoons - but people are fine too. You can use images from shutterstock or Getty. I do not need a complete new design of man/contractor for this project. The faceless construction icons on Shutterstock are acceptable.
However, the best looking poster that conveys what we are trying to show will win - regardless of what the graphics are (real person, cartoon, faceless image, just a hardhat) It is the message and how it looks on a workplace poster - that the customer will see when he visits our offices - that is important.

The first phase is to choose the 3 best designs in the next two days, then the final design by the end of the week. If you come in with a good design late, it will be looked at, however, designs that I see in the first two days - so I can discuss them with my team on Tuesday morning - will be given higher marks immediately and are more likely to be chosen. I would like to see something by Monday evening my time (Vancouver) You will have time after that to clean things up and change as you need.

You should be ready to include what you will charge for the second and third posters - which will be very very similar. I do not expect to pay as much for these as the concept work will be done.

Also - initially, concepts are fine. You will get the time to create something beautiful, but I want to see (I am a visual person) what you have in mind first. You can submit a concept, a sketch, a PSD file, a SKetchup. I don't care what it starts with - just show me what you have in mind (you can even draw it on a napkin, and take a picture for now) Just show me something to start.

added - I do not need two people in this. I used the graphic I grabbed off the net to help convey what I mean. You can use one person with thought bubbles, one busy version, one happy because he found us, one guy crawling up a ladder being chased with people yelling from the top - except us who have solved his precast problem, or a guy looking at a construction site who is overwhelmed - and then we save them by solving their problem.
