About the Brand
The Explorer's Magic Company is a new handmade goods brand. It currently sells mandala dot art, and will expand over time to include candles, soap, scent diffusers, DIY kits, and in-person/online classes. Everything is made by hand, one piece at a time.
The brand voice is warm and confident — not sleepy, soft, or "cutesy." There's a light witchy/mystical undertone (candles, ritual, ingredients grown/made by hand) but the overall feel should stay elevated and professional rather than costume-y or novelty-shop.
A separate existing candle line, "Magic Inside," may eventually nest under this brand as a named collection — the new logo does not need to reference that line directly, but should feel like it could sit as a "parent" identity above other sub-brands later.
Style Direction
Mood words: warm, confident, handmade, magical (subtle, not literal spellbook/cauldron imagery), grounded, a little mystical
Avoid: anything that reads as stage-magician/illusionist, generic "witchy" clip-art (cauldrons, broomsticks, black cats), anything that looks templated or like a stock mandala clip-art logo
Visual references to consider: mandala/circular patterns, dot-work art, hand-drawn or slightly imperfect linework (reflecting handmade, one-at-a-time process) — but should NOT be locked into "dots" as the only visual idea, since the product line will expand beyond dot art. Optional ideas, dragonflies, magic swirly, sparkles. Options can include the initials EMC with the full company name with a slight nod to energy.
Tone comparison: think boutique apothecary or a well-branded independent candle/ritual goods shop — not a children's craft brand, not a corporate tech startup
Color Direction (open to designer's interpretation, but as a starting point)
Deep, rich tones over pastel or neon — think ink, plum, deep gold, warm cream
Open to one metallic or jewel-tone accent (antique gold, deep mauve, etc.)
Avoid overly bright/primary colors — should feel elevated, not playful-kid-brand
