“Given that this was probably the least offending and that I made the mistake of ensuring the friggin prize money - that someone had to win whether i could use the finished product or not....and that freelancer would then pay it out...an expense that I will never incur again and I feel scammed by this whole set up...I awarded this purely on the basis that I HAD NO CHOICE!!!! and I was also sick and friggin tired at looking at the crap that was posted as design work....I am NOT a designer, I fool around with GIMP now and then and I certainly could do a better friggin job if i had the time...”

I am afraid the communications wasn't clear. In the brief we were asked for a background image, not a whole page design. Nobody has a chance if someone provides more then the requested.

I cant speak for everybody, but you might like to know that those who are honest (me) purchase the rights to images. Owning the rights and then changing it completely (or use only parts) and insert it into your work is 100% legal. I just thought you would like to know.

So far I Have seen absolutely nothing that GRABS me...I would like to see something that I can use on the site...colors are red, white and black...a clean, user friendly site that engages people...this is not what I am seeing here...

Please look at the website and design accordingly...i will narrow the content area somewhat. Obviously graphics need to be on the sides of the content...I like the logo - LA in design...#5 and really like #8
