I'm a fan myself! Here is my design. I've gone for the simple design like you asked. We can change social media icons (I'm not sure if I'm happy with it myself). I can also make the top banner smaller. There are effects when you rollover the navigation text as well. Let me know how you want to proceed! Very excited to get this going!
