DJ logo design

Contest Brief

I need a logo design for my DJ artist name – ''DJ MEL''. It will be used for branding on music festival/event/club flyers, merchandise, and artwork for music releases.

Here are my requests:

Symbolic logo and my name ''DJ MEL'' typed with cool electronic style fonts. I attached some logos that I like and the combination of the name in the symbolic logo. I'm looking for iconic, original and eye catching logo.

The logo should be new, fresh, recognizable, and look like a music artist's logo, instead of a company's logo (no turntables, headphones etc). Attached are individual logos I love, as well as what others in the industry look like. I am looking for a logo that looks like it fits alongside the big names attached, but is not a copy of any of logos.

About the colour version: you have the freedom, but I really like black, white, purple (as on my last logo). I will need two versions: colour and black&white.

The Logo Design must be in High-Resolution . The winner has to send me the PSD (project) files.

    79 and 78. they are similar but if this was along the right tracks I would fix anything, I know you wanted more in there, I felt as though most EDM logos are quite straight forward with a hint of something unique, which I have aimed for. I though less would be more. Remember these are two tone samples.

      You only provided font, no iconic symbol. Also needs to look more similar to the samples i attached. This was a professional look, i'm after unique and edgy.

    Hi Everyone, just wanted to say alot of you i don't think have bothered to read the brief (as i'm still getting clipart style fonts, headphones etc that look like a company logo). I can't stress enough that it needs to look similar and to the same quality level as the samples i attached (yes please download the files and take note of the fonts and iconic symbols).
