CLIENT IN SHORT

We are a tech startup that helps youth to excel in self-learning. In the era of digital distractions, their mission is to make sure technology provides the best conditions for any ambitious mind to remain focus in their learning process, and then reach unprecedented levels of knowledge and skills.

THE PRODUCT

Our first product is a connected flashcard device, the “flip”, that will help high school students to memorize the basic content and excel in their SAT exams.

The “flip” has two back-to-back 2.7 inches screens : Screen #1 to show the question (i.e. “The capital city of Germany?”) , Screen #2 to broadcast the answer (i.e “Berlin”). To acquire knowledge via the “flip”, the user will need to rotate the “flip” in two opposite senses : “Hard” or “Easy” from Screen #1 to Screen #2, “I knew it” or “I didn’t know” from Screen #2 to Screen #1.

The “flip” is connected to a mobile application that will collect data to improve each one’s learning process (which domain are you good at, where are your rooms of improvement…)

MARKETING OBJECTIVE

We need the “flip” to become ASAP the inevitable “top of mind” product when it comes to acquire/memorize essential knowledge and ace exams. The message is : learning and memorizing is crucial to succeed and achieve our goals, but this could be also fun and pleasant personal journey.

COMMUNICATION OBJECTIVE

We are creating a necessary brand content (logo, images, video, landing page…) to attract a pre-launch community of 5.000 to 10.000 interested people that will potentially buy “the flip”. These interested people will leave their email address to receive “product-launching” heads-up notification.

AUDIENCE TO REACH

American High School Students (especially 11th and 12th grade who are taking SAT), who are digital native and part of the Generation Z and born in the early 2000’s with the Internet. In other words, they are 17-18 years old.

Let’s also keep in mind that the product brand has to appeal the parents (and the professors) of these high school students too.

TONE / STYLE
Serious, non-institutional and accessible. The flip’s brand content has to generate in our final-end audience (17-18 years-old American high school students born in early 2000’s with the Internet) a feeling of bonds and proximity.

MISSION

Based on all the information provided, you will design the flip’s first logo. This logo will be used in all the brand and communication contents, both digital and physical (advertisement banners, video, landing pages, press kit…).
