Need 2 iconic designs developed for fish oil products. They represent a story of where the oil comes from (icon 1) and how pure and fresh the oil is (icon 2).

Icon 1 needs to represent the Eskimo Lifestyle (Inuit people). They live a long time, are healthy and disease free. But these people are not all that appealing. Need to make a logo that SCREAMS Eskimo, but is a symbol of a character you would want to be.

Icon 2 represents a PURE oil PROTECTED from the elements. It is a perfect oil. Something that represents purity, freshness, crispness, and protected against the elements. Oils are degraded by oxygen and light, but this oil is designed to protect against these things. So, an icon that represents absolute pure, natural but FORTIFIED against specific elements.

Both icons need to be minimalistic - iconic. Simple and easy to recognize.

Clarification: the ideal character is an eskimo. If you can make the character simple, easily recognizable, healthy and iconic.
For the second icon (the oil): we are looking for a way to take pure oil and make it "protected" against the elements

I am confused here because Inuits (eskimos) come from a totally different culture and area than Nordic peoples. They don't look the same, either. Can you possibly narrow it down to one or the other?

  You are absolutely correct. We prefer Eskimos. If you can make an Eskimo appear strong, healthy, and an ideal character, then you win the competition. We moved towards Vikings because they are from the same area and have a similar diet, but are more appealing than Eskimos.
