Contest Brief

I am looking for some idea's to enhance the current wordpress theme I am running. I like simple designs that can make it easy to navigate through the site as well as space for widgets/advertising. I am not looking for any major changes and like the slider on the home page but something to livein it up.

Also a second mock up page for my forum http://www.nicaplanet.com/forum/

Best Design will be selected and then I will post a project to have it put live.
