Contest Brief

I am looking for a logo to be designed for a new website I'm setting up, Railbase. The website will be a reference site containing profiles on all the railway locomotives built in the last couple of centuries. It will be similar in feel to my current site Motorbase (http://www.motorbase.com/)

The logo I'm looking for will have a 'classic' age of steam feel to it. I am looking for a high resolution logo (>1024px wide or vector) on a transparent background.

UPDATE: Some good concepts coming in. One thing I should have put in the original brief is that any imagery should focus on British locomotives. Most of the current designs are US style engines. To help I've uploaded some pictures of the some typical British trains.
