Résumé de concours
First, I should mention I already tried to run this competition once, but the files did not upload and we had to cancel it. I apologise if you submitted to the last one. This time, if the image files are not present, please don't spend time on it! If they are, thank you for participating!
We are a small-town yacht club in the northeast US. Our site, [login to view URL], needs a redesign.
Some other sites we like, in roughly descending order:
1. [login to view URL]
2. [login to view URL]
3. [login to view URL]
4. [login to view URL]
The menu structure of our new site will be a bit different to the current one and is detailed below.
We plan to have a front page with image tiles that connect to a seven key pages, (as CYC does in #1 above), being:
• About SBYC
• Adult Sailing Program
• Junior Sailing Program
• Racing and Regattas
• Club Store
Interior pages will have a banner at the top, then be mostly text with some images, like this page at CYC. (We don’t need the additional tiles as at the bottom of this page.)
For this competition we’d like a design with tiles for the front page, and a design for one interior page — Junior Sailing — for which the copy is appended below. You should find attached images for the front-page banner and tiles. Also a banner image for the Junior Sailing page, and four images for that page you can use if you like (JS1-4).
Thank you for participating!
Note this structure includes the elements above that will be featured in tiles on the fornt page.

Welcome to the Sandy Bay Sailing Program! We offer sailing lessons to sailors of all ages and abilities; from beginners to racers and cruisers, ages eight and up. Our beautiful location on T-Wharf in historic Rockport, MA offers quick access to ocean sailing at its best.
Our Junior Program uses 18 Optimist dinghies and nine 420s. These dinghies are the choice of yacht clubs and sailing programs nationwide. They offer students a sturdy platform on which to learn, while providing enough challenge to keep competent racers involved in the sport. Juniors are grouped by ability and there is a place for everyone including eight-year-old-beginners, older 13- or 14-year-old-beginners, right on up to the seasoned racer. Our racing programs offer experienced sailors the opportunity to travel locally and regionally, competing against other sailors their own age.
In addition to wonderful sailing opportunities, Sandy Bay Yacht Club offers excellent social opportunities. All students become members of the Club (although parents are not required to become members, we encourage them to join). We encourage you to take advantage of junior cookouts, Sunday Morning Coffees, Chowder Day, and numerous other dinners and events. Sailing is a social sport, and there's no better place to get started than Sandy Bay Yacht Club.
The SBYC Sailing Program is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization and admits students of any race, color, religion, or national origin... scholarships are also available.
Commentaire de l'employeur
“Won a design content against many others. In large part because he didn't fall into the trap of chasing the ones we'd ranked highest, as most others did. He kept to his own plan and produced one of the most original.”
